Description: From the 11th to the 13th of February 2019, 4 girls from Loreto House, Kanza Shamim, Tessa Sharma, Kiara Chen and Oishinee Majumdar, took part in the Annual JPIC National General Meeting held in Delhi. This year, their aim was to make the students aware of problem around the World through Model United Nations (MUN). On the 1st day, we had an interactive session with Ms Christine Nathan, who is a part of the UN committee. She answered all our questions regarding the issues we faced in the world today. After that, we had a bonfire where we all sang and danced. The next two days we had our MUN session where we learnt negotiating, public speaking, debating and more importantly gained confidence. That day we were also taken to the parliament museum where we heard the original round clip of the speech given by Jawaharlal Nehru after becoming the 1st prime minister of Independent India.
On the last day, we had a flash mob made for 1 billion rising while all the schools took part in great enthusiasm. After which we were taken to Janpath and Connaught place, The Markets of Delhi, for shopping. It was a very memorable trip for all of us.
