Description: On the 9th of February 2019, 20 girls of the JPIC Club, along with our 2 animators Mrs U. Ghosh and Mrs Palmer went to Simpark Mall in New Market to attend the One Billion Rising Programme organised by the Mary Ward Association of Kolkata. Mrs Gouri Basu director EZCC, was the chief guest for the evening. The opening dance was put up by Loreto Shimla. Various schools from all over Kolkata performed dances and skits. One of the sex workers was facilitated for her bravery to come out and speak in public and celebrate. There was a special performance by Christopher Lobo and her struggles Kamran Khurshid to celebrate the Women Empowerment and success. Overall it was a very enriching experience and we would like to thank Mrs Gomes for giving us the opportunity to be a part of this cause and raise our voices against the injustices dora to woman in society.
