Description: A day well spent with our guests, students of the Mentaid School, Behala.
The students of the Mentaid School are differently able children. They want themselves to be loved as much as they love this world and the people in it to be self reliant; they live their lives with dignity and radiate positive energy around themselves.
On 15th November 2016, the class 10s organised programme for the students of the Mentaid School. At 08:30 am, eight cars, each having a class X student as an escort left for the Mentaid Institution to bring the students and teachers of the school to Loreto House. Upon arrival they were welcomed, ‘Frootis’ were served and they were made comfortable in the school hall decorated specially for them. A series of animated short film clips kept them occupied till the proceedings began. The students of the Mentaid School danced along with the entertainment team and had a lot of fun.
We were greatly touched by their simplicity, their innocence and the love they showered on us. We realized how blessed we were to have had the opportunity to spend time with them.
We bid them goodbye at 12:30 pm. We lovingly handed over to their teachers’ food boxes and gifts that we had arranged for them. We hope that they enjoyed the day as much as we did with them.
