Designing Dynamic Lessons
DESIGNING DYNAMIC LESSONS

A two day workshop was organized by the Loreto Education Office, South Asia Province for the Coordinators of Middle and Section school of all Loreto schools on 10th and 11th July at Delphine Hart Hall. Ms. Shanta Krishnan, Dean of Academics of BSS School and a Master Trainer for CISCE was the Resource person for both the days. The session began with a Prayer followed by ice-breaking session which actively generated interest, and gradually, the curriculum was discussed at great length.

Teachers were divided into groups where activities like circle time, writing a recipe, and art integration helped teachers to bounce their ideas and stimulate their creative instincts. The perfect opportunity was given which coordinated with NEP 2020 and the use of teaching aids in class. All sessions built up the momentum of designing dynamic lessons through crafting lesson plans.

The Art Integration, which is mandatory in NEP 2020, was also explained referring to the Learning Pyramid, the Bloom's Taxonomy. She also emphasized on Lesson Outcomes objectively and then explained how important it is to formulate it through Action Plan. The new Lesson Plan had elements like incorporating Skills and Competencies. Through a sample lesson Plan she illustrated how it is important to make oneself and children aware of the skill that is being developed.

The Second Day extended with session where teachers were divided into subjects, and they chose a class for which they would make a lesson Plan and Project and share with all. It was an enriching session as we learnt by sharing. We thank our Principal Mrs.Bagchi for giving Us the opportunity.
